Vineyards & Winery

World-class Wine from a Local Vineyard

Paradise Hills vineyards were originally planted in 2012 and today grow a variety of grapes, including Black Spanish, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Reisling, Chardonnay, Traminette, and Sangiovese.

We closely manage our vines using exclusive seasonal techniques to enhance their growth and enrich the quality of the grapes. Paradise Hills Winery is fortunate to be in the Upper Hiwassee Highlands AVA, Georgia's first AVA. We augment the region's unique influence on the grapes with our vision of the finest wines.

Today, we proudly offer a range of national and international award-winning wines. We invite you to tour our winery and sample our Paradise Hills wine selection!

Timing is Everything

Like most wineries, Paradise Hills has limited tasting hours and closes at 6PM. If you arrive before 5:15 PM, you can get in on the last tasting of the day. We will never rush you. BUT, please don't arrive five minutes before closing time and expect a walk-up tasting at the bar. It takes time to learn about our wines and enjoy a tasting.

Each winery has different hours for tastings. And some even have restaurants that can accommodate you and your group after 6PM. So survey each property's seasonal hours and offerings BEFORE your trip.

When you do arrive at Paradise Hills, please remember we are small family farm winery that aims to #makepeoplehappy, but there are limitations to what we can offer. We want everyone to have fun, so please treat your entry and visit like you would if you were invited into someone's house or home. Children should be under your control at all times. Pets are welcome on our wine patio but not inside our tasting room.

A tasting room is not a bar... it's for sampling. Many wineries offer seated tasting or a table at which you may enjoy a glass of wine, but first—taste the wines and decide what you would like to order by the glass, then move on to the designated area

Group tastings are welcome. We recommend that if you have a group of more than eight (8) tasters, you make reservations before traveling up, to allow preparation for your visit. Also, we offer a special Group Wine Flight for 8 or more. It includes a sample of all the PH wines as well as a souvenir wine glass. We cannot offer a la carte wine flights for larger groups.

We also urge everyone to do some "mapping research" way before hitting the limo or car. These are beautiful rural destinations off the main pathways that don't always match a Smartphone or GPS mapping service. Driving directions are on the website.
Tasting Tips
  • Always think about safety and designate a driver when necessary.
  • Enjoy a light snack or meal before your tour; you should never taste on an empty stomach.
  • Avoid wearing perfumes and colognes. Fragrances interfere with your senses and affect the flavor of wine for you and those nearby. There are thousands of smelling senses and only five for taste... you get the picture! ðŸ˜€
  • Mint and Chardonnay do not pair nicely. Avoid chewing gum before a tasting!
  • Cleanse your palette before and between tastings with a cracker or piece of bread. It really does make a difference!
  • Our wine pourers aren't bartenders; they have trained extensively about our wines in order to educate you about the various hand-crafted wines we produce here at Paradise Hills. Listen to them and don't hesitate to ask lots of questions. They enjoy sharing their craft with interested guests.
  • Be mindful and know your limit! If you feel tipsy, drink lots of water and eat something. Don't be ashamed to ask for a discreet vessel for spitting during a tasting; it's very common. We're also happy to phone a taxi service if you feel you may have had too much. Always keep safety first!
  • Mind your manners. Most of the wineries in this area are small family businesses, and you are visiting our home. Please do not touch the vines; grapes are very delicate!
  • Once you've enjoyed your tasting and picked your favorite, you are welcome to purchase wine by the glass or the bottle and take it outside to the patio or enjoy the view from the back deck.
  • Have fun, and come back often!
